To actively seek to improve cricket – at both the Senior and Colts (Junior) level – by engaging with all our stakeholders and delivering cricket excellence, inclusivity and diversity in all aspects of the game, both on and off the pitch. Our stakeholders include (amongst others) our Senior, Ladies and Colts members, former members, guests and our local village neighbours.
Club Aims & Objectives
- To ensure the club continues to survive, grow and develop, allowing us to provide access to cricket to all members of the local community
- To develop and strengthen our senior playing teams, providing positive role models to all club members, leading to further development and on pitch success
- To harness and develop all our young cricketers (under 15 and younger) so they have the future opportunity to contribute to the game of cricket at all levels and play a role in club cricket life
- To deliver a structured approach to long term cricket development at the club and in particular:
- to nominate boys & girls to play in District and County Juniors cricket
- to improve the quality, coverage & capability of our parent and professional cricket coaches
- to support our Junior players to progress into the Senior cricket teams and to enjoy, develop & learn from this experience
- to develop and strengthen a structure and pathway for girls and women to actively participate in and follow the club cricket
- To develop and strengthen the whole club environment, promoting cricket opportunities for all – taking into account inclusivity & diversity
- To ensure our cricket club is an integral part of the local community, contributing a service to all sections of the community and developing club members, supporters and volunteers
- To identify local schools and / or sports associations where the Club might offer cricket coaching, expertise, mentoring and the use of its facilities.
